So, I've just discovered TED lectures. I know...I'm behind the times.
I have to share this particular lecture with all you creative folks. Elizabeth Gilbert, writer of Eat, Pray, Love (and other great books you may not have heard of yet, such as The Last American Man) speaks about the nature of creativity, inspiration, and the notion of creative genius. And why are we artists so manic anyhow?
And as a side note: Is she not the best public speaker you've ever seen?
I saw this awhile ago and loved it - and coincidence, just picked up Committed yesterday, and another coincidence - went to Ted.com today after a long hiatus and found this:
